I'd been waiting for the wind to pick up all day so had spent the day wandering back and forth to see what the sea and winf were up to. Eventually around 5pm it stared to fill in, but as it was still only about 11 knots I decided to fly my Wipika for a while.

Chris was already out and struggling with not enough wind to get going on his board, so I just flew mine on the beach for a while. It soon felt as though there was enough wind though so i went out for a few runs on my board. I did OK, but still struggle with that board as it has a little too much volume in the rails making it really difficult to engage the rail and drive it upwind. I always end up with the board too flat and going far too fast so that I end up out of control!!

the wind caried on picking up and soon became too much. It was about 18 knots when I finished and I really should have gone out windsurfing with my 5.7m sail but it was geting late and I couldn't really be bothered to rig up.
